I wanted to start this thread to get your feedback on whether to go single source or multi source universe when merging multiple data sources.
Some questions that I have are.
-Does everything get processed by the data federation query engine other than very simple filters in the where clause? (case, group by, even joins on tables from the same data source) One article that I've read provides some helpful information http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-38685
-How are your performance results when using a multi-source universe vs a single source universe?
-Since the SQL is different from multi-source universe, has anyone faced many issues with limitations?
-How stable is a multi-source universe? Do errors pop up often?
-When would you choose a multi-source universe over your traditional webi intelligence merging?
