Issue with Universe hitting an SAP ERP 6.0 database (IES 10901: String index out of range: 3)

Hi,

We have a scheduled Web Intelligence report that has run successfully every day except for January 15th, 2014, which received the following error.

The report is pulling data from a Universe that's pulling data from an SAP ERP 6.0 database. We had a look at the Universe formulas and found that one column was using the following:

substring("column name",1,3).

We tried removing this substring call and still received the same error message. We have checked the remaining columns and none of them were calling any functions.

Please post if you have any ideas of what's causing this.
